Nature reserves De Hoeksche Waard

Just south of Rotterdam stretches a vast, open landscape. Here in Hoeksche Waard you will find various nature reserves. From extensive meadow bird areas where you can spot lapwings, redshanks and black-tailed godwits and creek areas to marshy plains and willow fields. You can make good walks over dikes. A nice path is that straight through the willow coppice. This area is also perfect to explore by bike.
